No Rain, No Pain, No Maine

There’s a saying in the AT Thru-Hiking world – no rain, no pain, no Maine. Well, we’re not running to Maine, but nonetheless, that was our mantra this morning. Certainly, there are runners that manage to run marathons without ever running a day in the rain – but we doubt they live in the Northeast. Or they’re just extremely lucky when picking their race dates. Unlike us. 4 miles in the rain and cold was not what we were looking forward to when we registered for a May race. Where was that gorgeous race weather we had a couple weeks ago? Gone, I tell you. GONE.

Anyway, race four is in the books. We now get a reprieve from racing for the next few months, as our busy summer plans fill our weekend schedule instead. Hopefully we’re better runners by the next time we hit the race course!
